FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The heat sheet is accessible to all swimmers 24 hours prior to the meet in the SwimminglyFan app. You can see a swimmer's events at check-in on the day of the meet as well. Many swimmers and their families use “Sharpie” markers to write down their Swimmingly ID and their Event/Heat/Lane numbers on their hands when they do meet check-in.
Meets are held on Monday and Thursday nights. Home meets the swimmers need to be at the pool by 4:45pm for a 5pm warmup. Away meets the swimmers need to be at the pool by 5:15 for 5:30 warm ups. Meets start at 6pm.
• Warm clothing, sweats are great. Also bring more than one towel to stay warm.
• Sleeping bag or a blanket to sit on
• Goggles and swim cap
• Games, books, cards, etc. (something for the swimmers to do while they wait for their next event)
• First you will need to sign your swimmer in at the check-in table
• Mark your swimmers with their ID
• Swimmers then must sit in our team area
• There will be warm ups before the meet
• Swimmers will be assisted by the Team Angels and Junior Coaches with lining up for their events.
• Cheer for your fellow teammates!
Meets generally run about 3 hours. Swimmers should not leave before the meet is over without checking in with a coach.
Tadpole swimmers will swim their event at the very beginning of our home swim meets. All other swimmers can swim up to 3 individual events and 2 relays. Coaches will set relays after they know who will be attending the meet.
During practice - they will be placed in your family folder.
